On August 12th, the center for culture, sports and tourism of Hoi An (Quang Nam) said that Vu Lan festival with the theme flower-garland festival and showing gratitude on August 27.
Director of center for culture, sports and tourism of Hoi An, Vo Phung said this was the first time the center organized a meaningful event of humane, gratitude to parents, with its various art activities.
It is expected that all Buddhist monks and nuns from pagodas, temples join together in setting free for animals in order to pray for prosperous country, cozy life of people. In particular, Hoai River at night will be teemed with colorful flower garlands and lanterns on Ghost Day. Additionally, the organizing committee also has a program “A rose pinning in front of chest” for locals and tourists; give gifts to the oldest mothers and the Vietnamese heroic mothers in the city.
